Ingredients
Serving size: 4 cups
3 lbs | Apples, peeled, cored and quartered |
1/2 cup | Apple cider |
1/2 cup | Maple syrup or sugar |
1/4 tsp. | Salt |
2 tsp. | Bells Seasoning |
Directions
- Combine apples, apple cider and maple syrup in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 25 minutes or until apples are very tender, stirring occasionally. Puree with a hand blender or process in batches in a food mill or food processor until smooth. For chunkier applesauce, crush the apple mixture with a potato masher.
- Remove from heat and stir in Bell’s Seasoning. Cool and refrigerate until ready to serve.
